Barista Association of Thailand

The Barista Association of Thailand (BAT) was formed in 2005 by a small group of baristas and trainers that aims to standardize and distribute comprehensive knowledge among Thai baristas.

For the past 5 years, coffee business in Thailand has grown rapidly, especially coffee houses, which has an impact on necessitate of baristas. BAT aims to produce qualified baristas to match the requirement. Today, they have held many educational activities around Thailand on baristas skills and have more than 200 members.

 

 

China Coffee Association Beijing

China Coffee Association was set up on March of 2003, approved by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Beijing Federation of Industry & Commerce (abbr. BFIC).

CCAB is the people's community composed of those companies from sales and commercial societies as well as economic circle of coffee industry. Over the past two years, CCAB has been playing more and more important role in China Coffee Industry by uniting, assisting, guiding and educating its members. CCAB has developed itself as an important linkage between the government and business circles by perfectly performing its intermediate function.

After it was founded, CCAB has kept an increasingly close and wide exchange and cooperation with overseas coffee professional organizations. Up to now, CCAB has already established regular contacts with WBC, ICO, Specialty Coffee Association of Europe as well as others. From 2004 to 2005, CCAB successfully organized China Barista Championship.

 

Taiwan Coffee Association

Taiwan Coffee Association was established on February 10th, 2003. The purpose of the association is to enhance the cooperation between Taiwanese coffee industries and rest of the world, and also to increase the joint benefits among the coffee manufacturers and coffee lovers in Taiwan, in order to reach a mutual profit.

The association is dedicated to serve the coffee manufacturers and coffee lovers in Taiwan. The service includes access to professional knowledge and information about coffee; plans and comments for the development policies of the industrial integration; development and combination of new market, trade opportunities, and other available resources; establishment of the certification system and training programs.

The AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association (AASCA)

The AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association (AASCA) was founded in 2001 by a group of very enthusiatic coffee lovers.   We want to provide a first quality coffee association to fellow coffee lovers, roasters, growers, equipment suppliers, offices, barista, cafes and restaurants of Australasia.

What makes AASCA different?  It is a not-for-profit whole-of-industry association, registered under Federal legislation for Australia-wide coverage.  The association has over 15 categories of membership and is open to anyone with an interest in specialty coffee. 

 

The Indonesian Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia

The Indonesian Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia provides effective forum, bringing together all of the industry members involved in Indonesia’s “premium” coffee market to promote and set standards for the growing, processing and retailing of Indonesia’s premium coffee.

To be more specific: The association is only concerned about the top or premium end of the market, and The association is about standards and certifications whether they are for premium green bean or the making of an espresso.

 

Singapore Coffee Association

The Singapore Coffee Association (SCA) is established in the late 1950s by a group of pioneering coffee traders. As a result of their enterprise and hard work, Singapore is recognized as one of the coffee centre in the world today. Presently, SCA membership represents all sectors of the coffee industry, from green bean supply chain providers, international and national roasters to well – known coffee retailers.

 

Speciality Coffee Association of India

A non-profit organization, was thus born with the idea of spreading the coffee culture that had been a latent desire in many of the coffee community members in India to have a common forum where they could air their views on coffee in general, Special & Speciality Coffee in particular. This led to a team of enthusiastic coffee community members to establish a common forum with the main purpose of promoting the concept and developing of Special & Speciality Coffee in India for the matual benefit of its members and the coffee community as a whole.

 

Speciality Coffee Association of The Philippines

Specialty Coffee Association of the Philippines (SCAP) was founded in 2002 by a group of coffee roasters, distributors and coffee shops in the Philippines thus becoming the association’s primary members. Its associate members are comprised of food service equipment manufacturers and distributors, commercial organizations, non-government offices and the National Coffee Board of the Philippines.

 

Shatec

SHATEC, the Singapore International Hotel and Tourism College, is the educational institute of the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA). Established in 1983, SHATEC is Singapore’s oldest and most established provider of pre-employment training for school leavers and continuing education and training for professionals in the hospitality industry. With a stellar record of educating some of the best and brightest is the hospitality and tourism industry in Singapore, SHATEC has a 25,000 strong alumni and is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2008. SHATEC has also been awarded the Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) ‘Most Outstanding Contribution to Tourism’ award in 1992, the Singapore Quality Class-Private Education Organisation (SQC-PEO) status since February 2004 and has held the CaseTrust for Education certification for Good Business Practices from July 2005.
